Subfloor repair is essential for ensuring the stability and longevity of your flooring. This process involves addressing any issues with the layer of material beneath the finished flooring surface. Before installing a new floor, it’s crucial to ensure that the subfloor is in optimal condition. After all, your new flooring is only as good as the subfloor it rests upon.

In many cases, homes require subfloor repairs to ensure levelness, flatness, and compliance with manufacturer specifications. Most manufacturers recommend that the subfloor be within 3/16″ of an inch over an 8′ area. To meet these requirements, we thoroughly assess the subfloor’s condition before installation. However, accurate evaluation is only possible after removing the existing flooring.

If you’re aware of any existing subfloor issues such as creaks, bouncing, softness, or damage, please inform us during the measurement process. Common subfloor issues we encounter include high and low spots in concrete, squeaks and creaks, uneven plywood, sinking floors, and slanting or sloping floors. Rest assured, our team is equipped to address these issues effectively, ensuring a sturdy foundation for your new flooring.
